I think a face might be too creepy. If they had faces that have just the glowing red circle like the bots in "Code 8" part 2 I think that could be cool. I'm sure once they become available to the public to purchase because at some point in the future they will, then I think we the consumer will have the ability to choose whatever "face" we'd like them to have. I prefer myself for a robot to look like a robot and for there to be a clear and simple distinction between them and humans.

Great, but "real filmed video" has to be presumed to be a deceptive phrase. It is close to "real-time footage" which implies that the video is not sped-up as is quite common in these videos. But it does not actually say "real time". Therefore, we have to assume that this was deliberate, so that certain parts could be sped up, while falsely leading the viewers to believe that this was normal speed, and yet not technically lying about it.

We will be eliminated because we the general public are viewed as useless scum that have served our purpose, as technology is sufficiently advanced to replace us. You’ve watched too many sci fi movies. Only a small minority of the elite will advance into the breakaway civilization and participate with cybernetic biotech life extension and advanced aerospace vehicles to pursue galactic transpermia. We will either be killed or merged into a quantum computer hive mind as cyborg slaves via nanotechnology connected to the grid. This has probably happened with other civilizations in other solar systems. People should come to emotional terms with this rational probability, and dispense with any entitlement.

They are different. What Boston Dynamics did was laboratory experiments, not for Capitalist market. But this unitree is producing cheap goods that can be mass-produced, and in the future, everyone can afford them, just like smartphones and cars.

    • @smokeyfish7435

Humans walk by falling forward and catching themselves, which is extremely difficult to emulate.
So instead bipedal robots tend to be designed to walk in a way that their center of gravity is always stable, hence that awkward shit-in-pants movement
